Walley Farms
Originally purchased in 1931, Walley Farms has long been a centerpiece to the family’s history and livelihood.
Passed down from generation to generation, Walley Farms has adapted to become not only an active farm and business, but a place to connect with nature, and peacefully nurture your love of the land.
Ashley began working on the farm with her grandfather Rick Walley in high school. Long days of driving tractors and baling hay helped her to learn and appreciate what it means to have a strong work ethic and appreciation for the land.
Today, Walley Farms is used not only to cultivate top quality hay bales but to be a home base for the training, raising and loving of chihuahuas, whippets & more!
Family is at the core of everything we do…

We are located in the small town of Ovett, MS — about 30 minutes North-East of Hattiesburg!

My great-great grandfather, Raspberry “Ras” Walley, purchased our family farm in 1931. The farm was then purchased by his son Joe Burl Walley, who lived in Marrero, LA with his wife Edith. They had three children Sharon, Karen and Rick Walley.
After his father’s passing, Rick took over responsibility for the farm and eventually purchased it from his mother. Not only did he build the existing barns, workshops and dog kennel with his own hands, but he has poured his blood, sweat and tears into the upkeep and preservation of the property.
He is the current owner of the Walley Farms property, and can be credited for a large portion of Ashley’s mentorship and success!

First and foremost, Walley Farms is used as a place for the family to call home!
This is an active hay farm, utilizing over 100 acres of field to grow hay for livestock. Additionally, Ashley uses the farm as her home base for her breeding, training and dog showing hobby!
We have plans to eventually begin adding livestock to the property, for her and her family’s personal use.
